About Us

The story of SWAG Shop grooming products starts in the chair. I came up knowing the barbershop is more than a place to get right, it’s where game gets passed, where opinions get tested, where a man can sit down one way and stand up sharper in every sense. That tradition runs deep, the same way it did for men like Alonzo Herndon and John Merrick, who understood that the shop could be a launchpad, not just a storefront. Shay and I spent over a decade building SWAG Shop into a space where that energy lives loud and honest, where the laughs hit just as hard as the debates, and where the culture checks itself in real time. And trust me, it’s not just the fellas holding court, the women in our lives have always had a say, because they know presence before you even open your mouth, and they don’t let you get away with less than your best.

When it came time to build the product line, I brought that same hunger and intention with me, the same mindset that carried me from Atlanta street corners to global stages with Run the Jewels. I wasn’t chasing what was hot, I was chasing what was real. That meant sitting with barbers who live this every day, listening to the men who expect to walk out the shop feeling like themselves turned all the way up, and respecting the women who can tell you in two seconds if you got it right or not. What we built comes straight out of that conversation, products with soul, with weight, with purpose. The kind of grooming that doesn’t just clean you up, it completes the look, locks in the confidence, and lets you move through the world like you meant to be there all along.

There came a moment when everything in music was moving the way you dream it up, and I had to ask myself what lasts beyond the stage, what carries when the lights go down, and the Grammys start collecting dust. My journey, from Atlanta to Morehouse College and everywhere in between, taught me that legacy lives in the everyday, in the rituals, in how you present yourself before you ever say a word. SWAG Shop grooming products are built from that understanding, a way to bottle up discipline, culture, and pride and put it in your hands.

This is about walking into any room already understood, about smelling like success, looking like money, and carrying yourself like you know exactly who you are.
